The tea party held in the hall on the 3rd September proved a very successful event and was well attended by over 80 people. With this number of people in the hall we were able to test the effect and success of the newly installed acoustic panels in the main hall. We are pleased to report that they have much improved the echo effect, now making it so much easier to hold a conversation and to hear much more clearly, especially when there are large gatherings in the hall.
This coming Saturday, 23rd September, sees another gardening session at the hall gardens. If you can spare an hour or two we would love you to join us; it’s nothing too strenuous and refreshments are always served. If you are unable to make our Saturday morning sessions there is always the opportunity to spend an hour or two on your own, as some choose to do. If this is an option that’s more convenient for you to help, please speak to a trustee or to Jane Jewitt.
We would also remind you (as has been said on many occasions before), we would love to hear from you if you would like to join the hall management committee as a trustee or helper. This only involves a few hours each month – or whatever you can spare. If you think you can help, please speak to one of us or visit www.plattmenorialhall.org for all Information regarding Platt Memorial Hall.
