Our hall has settled back into a routine for the time being anyway, with just classes with activities that fall into the exercise and fitness category; these are currently allowed under the guidelines during these somewhat strange times.
The hall trustees intend to hold this year’s Service Of Remembrance at the hall as usual; however, it will be slightly different due to the number of people who can attend. We intend to allow just 30 people in the square for the service, which means we can only have two representatives from each group to lay their wreaths with the addition of a third for flag bearers. Those laying wreaths will include seven from Scouting, WI, PPC, Platt Society, and Platt School and The Hall Trustees. We would wish to discourage people from attending unnecessarily; however those that do such as parents or guardians will need to remain in the carpark area in line with current social distancing requirements, we will, of course, have the speaker system set up.
It is our intention to Livestream the service if possible on YouTube or Facebook so please check on our website or Facebook page for the latest information.
During our October gardening Saturday apart from general maintenance we had two trailer loads of stable manure delivered which was spread around the garden including the rose beds, and again we have planted around 500 bulbs including daffodils, tulips, and hyacinths. Our next session is on November 21st, and this will most likely be the last one before winter truly arrives. Please join us if you can for some light gardening duties and to have a socially-distanced chat with friends. Please bring your own refreshments as the hall kitchen is still closed.
