February 2019

Following our recent Village News requests to see if anyone would like to donate an additional bench for the Memorial square at the hall, we are pleased to report an excellent response to this and are in the process of following up on these offers.

As reported, our hall now has its own defibrillator located inside the hall lobby to add to the two already in the Village. If you missed the two instruction classes organised last year by the PPC, we have arranged for The First Responders to again attend the hall on Wednesday 20 February 7.00 for a 7.30pm start to teach and demonstrate how to use this life-saving equipment and hope that many of our regular hall users will attend.

With the successful installation of the acoustic panels to the large hall last year we have decided to add these to the small hall in the coming months which we feel will greatly improve the use of this hall also. This year our hall AGM will be held on Thursday March 14th at 8.00pm in the small hall. Please make a note in your diary.

The next Saturday morning gardening sessions will take place on February 16th and March 16th starting from 9.30am please join us for an hour or so to help keep the gardens looking good. It’s nothing too strenuous and refreshments are always served.

Many of you will know that our hall has proved a sound investment for our village and is going from strength to strength, with this in mind we would love to invite some younger blood to join the committee to help take it forward as two-thirds of our committee are the wrong side of 70! Please speak to one of the trustees if you feel you have something to offer.
