Weddings

We have the ideal venue for your wedding experience – our new Halls were built in 2016 and are modern, light and airy and situated in a beautiful garden setting overlooking the North Downs. With ample parking for all of your wedding guests, our location just off Maidstone Road (A25) in St Mary’s Platt, is easy to find and very convenient for local churches.

The Main Hall can comfortably accommodate up to 120 guests seated at rectangular tables, and we have a removable stage should you require it for a band or disco. A recent addition to this hall is a set of fitted panels in the ceiling that now provide superb acoustics.

Our second, smaller hall, can be used for pre-wedding lunch drinks, or perhaps your caterers would welcome it to be used to help layout a buffet-style lunch should you prefer this?  Alternatively, your caterers can use this hall to lay up meals before serving at your tables.

Situated between the two Halls is a large modern kitchen with service hatches to both areas and equipped with all the facilities your caterers will require.

We will be delighted to discuss any particular decorative arrangements in the Halls that you may want. When arranging your wedding reception at our new Halls, you can be assured that you have chosen the ideal venue and that all your guests will have a fantastic day.

Refundable Damage / Disturbance Bond:

Some bookings require a Refundable damage/disturbance bond of £200.00 to be paid in addition to the hire charge.

Refundable Damage/Disturbance Bond (if applicable) is to be paid at least 1 month prior to the booking date.  Failure to do so will indicate cancellation of the booking at Platt Memorial Hall with forfeiture of the hire fee already paid.

Refund of the Damage / Disturbance Bond:

The bond will be refunded within 14 days after the booking date provided that no damage or loss has been caused to the premises and/or contents, the hall has not been left in an exceptionally dirty condition, and all rubbish relating to the event has been taken away nor any complaints made to the Memorial Hall about noise or other disturbance during the period of the hiring as a result of the hiring.

Any amounts withheld from the refund of the bond are at the discretion of the Hall Management Committee. When no Refundable damage/disturbance bond has been charged we reserve the right to charge £50 for any damage to the hall or our property

Bank details are required for repayment of the Refundable Bond.

The hall was absolutely perfect for our wedding! We wanted somewhere we could make our own and have control over the day and The Platt War Memorial Hall was just that! We are so pleased we chose it as the back drop for our day and it was so special to use a building which is an active part of the community too. A lot of other village halls in the area aren’t as well looked after and the facilities here are second to none! Our caterers had no trouble preparing for our sit down dinner in the extensive kitchen. And such good value too!
