For the occasion Scott donned 1902 Service Dress and discussed the various elements of the uniform to give the Scouts some idea of what the men from Platt who had enlisted would have been wearing at the start of the war. Then, using a map from 1915, Scott talked the children through the war up until that point 100 years ago to illustrate how mobile warfare quickly became static (trench) warfare.
