He was the fifth of ten children born to Dalton Heine &#8211; a paper finisher, and his wife, Emily (n\u00e9e Woodger). The family lived on Mill Street <\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">and<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> young Frederick attended East Malling National School between 11 July 1904 and 1 March 1907. By 1921, he had found work as a farm labourer for Mr Wigan. In 1930, Frederick married Lilian Mary Vidler of Addington, and the couple had two daughters and a son. \u00a0The Heines lived at Heathfield on the London Road in Addington, and on 22 November 1939, he joined the police as a special constable. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Frederick was killed during the air raid on the Royal Oak Inn in Wrotham Heath while on duty on 15 October 1940.
