VE Day Celebration – 9 May 2015

Please join us at Platt Memorial Hall on 9 May 2015 for a 70th Anniversary VE Day Celebration. The hall will be open between midday and 4:30pm when we will be serving ploughman lunches followed by cream teas. Entry is free, however the lunches will cost £4 and the cream teas £3.50. There will also be a celebratory flower display and an exhibition about Platt and its people during the Second World War.
During the evening we shall be holding a 1940’s/50’s dance from 7:30pm until late. Tickets cost £12.00 per person and there will a fish and chip supper as well as a licensed bar. A bottle of champagne will also be awarded to the best period costume!
