Platt Woods WW1 History Trail
This summer in Platt Woods, we have created a WW1 history trail that although primarily aimed at the younger members of our community, we hope will also be of interest to people of all ages.
Starting near the entrance to the woods at the top of the steps that lead away from the churchyard, we have placed twelve consecutively numbered boards around the area showing photographs of Platt locals or places captured during, or around the First World War.
Each has a caption underneath about the image followed by a question. Before your visit, using the link below, you can download a map of the woods showing roughly where the boards are, and also a sheet giving a selection of possible answers to each question.
We hope you enjoy the trail and would like to thank the Platt Fundraisers and Platt Woods Management Committee for making this possible.
